Connie--I don't have directions to East Sunsbury Cemetery but in your line,
have you ever run across a Susan/Susannah Palmer who was md. to a William
Barnes and they had a daughter Martha Elizabeth Barnes, b. 1868, Monroe
Co.-d. 1940, Washington, Co., OH who was my great grandmother?

This is not the same William/Susannah Barnes family that is in the 1870
Monroe Co. (Sardis, Lee Twp.) census whose daughter Elizabeth M. was born
about 1857. Also that same year in Bethel Twp. is a Martha E. Barnes, b.
1870, whose parents were Francis and Sarah Barnes and as far as we know,
this is not our Martha Elizabeth.

Our Martha Elizabeth was known as Elizabaeth or
"Lib" and her first husband (my gt gfa) was Jasper Jones and her second
husband was Francis William "Frank" Ice. Lib may have been related to a
Martha Palmer (b. abt. 1920) who is found living in Washington Twp., Monroe
Co. in the 1870 census. Jasper Jones later bought Martha Palmer's farm,
possibly when he was married to his first wife, Elizabeth
Gardner/Baumgardner. My cousin Saundra and I are working on the
Barnes-Jones lines and we absolutely never leave a stone unturned when we
see any possible related name in these queries even though we may be barking
up the wrong tree, so to speak---that is to say "so to bark!!" Thanks so
