Gary I am Teresa Hull a desendent of Evan Holt Sr.
The information that I have on Susannah Holt and James Irwin is this Susannah Holt born 02 Dec,1784, New Jersey, James Irwin born 02 Dec,1779, New Jersey. Married on 26 Jun 1807 in East Town Chester Co., PA. Susannah married Pioneer Baptist Minister. James died on 04 Feb 1855 South Bloomfield Twns., Morrow Co., Ohio Susannah died 09 March 1864 both are buried Chester Baptist Cem., Morrow Co., Ohio
A letter written by a gradnddaughter, Katharine G Irwin Cox, said that they moved to Ohio in 1805. James and Susan followed Susan's father to Chester Twns., Knox Co., Ohio. In 1812 Their names appear in the Charter of the Welsh Baptist Church. James parents of Protestent Irish Ancestory, Most likely from Ulster, Northern Irland. They bought land for James and Susan in what is now South Bloomfield, Morrow Co., Ohio. Susan stayed with her parents, while James and her brother James Holt were building a log cabin. James Holt, later bought land near Susan, and built his own Cabin. Both families would live there the rest of their lives. James fought in the War of 1812, first in Captain Jacob Young's company from Knox and Richland Counties, from Aug 26 1812 to Oct.31 1812. Then in Captian Patrick Shaw's company from Feb 8 1813 to Aug 6 1813. After the war, James became a Pioneer Clergyman of the Baptist Church in Knox County Ohio. Susan and James had four children
