Hi, Tim,

I found the following in volume 3 of the "Morrow County, Ohio, Tombstone Inscriptions for Congress, North Bloomfield, and Washington Townships" (published by the Morrow County Genealogical Society, c.1989) --

In the Iberia Cemetery (Washington Township), on Twp. Road #49:

On page 96:
Section 3 A, Row 13 --
NOE, Clare, 1869-1941; Alverda, 1871-1959; Edith, 1907-1972; Elden, 1902-1974

On page 93:
Section 2 B, Row 36 --
NOE, Alpheus R., s/o C & S A, Sep 24 1895 - Nov 23 1896

Based on this and information found in US Census records, I believe that "Alverda" is the "Susan A. Parks" who married Clare Noe, whose burial you are looking for.

She is listed in the 1900 US Census as just "Alverda" -- age 28, wife of Clare Noe in Washington Twp., Morrow County, Ohio -- mother of 3 children, with 2 living (which would account for the death of Alpheus in 1986.

In the 1910 US Census, she is listed as "Verda S." -- age 38, wife of Clare Noe in Washington Twp., Morrow County, Ohio -- mother of 4 children, with 3 living.

In the 1920 US Census, she is listed as "Susan E." -- age 47, wife of Claire Noe in Washington Twp., Morrow County, Ohio. Her age, place of birth, and places of birth of her parents are consistent with the information in the previous censuses.

In the 1930 US Census, she is listed as "Alverda S." -- age 58, wife of Clare Noe in Washington Twp., Morrow County, Ohio.

Also, I was able to locate a death notice for "Mrs. Alverda Noe" in the Mansfield (Ohio) News-Journal, Sunday, November 29, 1959. However, it does not mention the name of her husband, but her 3 surviving children's names seem to agree with those listed in the censuses.

You also asked for the location of Bryn Zion Cemetery. It is located in section 32, Township 18 (Gilead Township), range 20, next to the Bryn Zion Church which is south of State Route 42, at the corner of Morrow County Road 240 and Morrow County Road 110.

I hope this information is helpful to you!

Wilma
