Does anyone have any information on Andrew Chapman and his family? He was b
1810 or 1814 in Wash or Morgan Co and died 8Sept1901 in Hopewell Twp Musk
Co. Buried ?He owned land south of 40 which can be seen on an 1875 map.
Wife was Nancy ? b. 1814 or 1821. Died? Had at least 7 children. He was my
ggggrandfather and his son James Willis Chapman was my ggrandfather, b1847
in Musk Co O and died 1921 in Musk Co O, buried in Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Married to Susan Nabb b. 1846 in Ohio and d. 1903 dau of Richard b. ca 1804
in Md and Elizabeth Loftus (Coates?) Nabb b. ca 1808 in Ohio who lived in
Springfield Twp.
I am trying to prove the link between Andrew and Johnny "Appleseed" Chapman
which has been carried down by family tradition. Perley is a family name
and Andrew's father was most likely Nathaniel or Perley who lived in Wash
and Morgan counties. They were stepbrothers to Johnny. Johnny, Nathaniel
and Perley's grandmother was Martha Perley Broadman Chapman.
