Check out the Newspaper page on the Muskingum County, OHGenWeb site at:

It gives information on what papers were operating and also provides a link
to the Ohio Historical Society that maintains copies of microfilms of those
papers. Not all years are archived on microfilm so you will have to check
what they have. They are available through inter-library loan so you should
be able to borrow them through your local library for no cost.

Also the Ohio University has microfilm of many of the papers available the
same way.
