Mrs. Polly Richardson, who died at the residence of her son David near Adamsville, March 3, 1880 was one of the oldest residents of Muskingum County. She was born in the State of Connecticut May 3, 1789, and was therefore in her ninety-first year of her age. Mrs. Richardson came to Ohio and settled on a farm adjoining Otsego, Monroe township, in 1817, where she continued to reside with her husband until 1844. She then removed to Symm's Creek and in 1858 to Adamsville. Her husband died in 1858. The deceased united with the Otsego Baptist church September 20, 1840, under the pastorate of Elder William Sedgwick, and continued in that faith until the end.
