David Martin was born ca 1775 in PA (designated as David1775 for
clarity). He is also listed as having been born in MD and VA.
He married, possibly in PA, about 1796-1799. David appears as Head of
Household in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 censuses in Muskingum Co., Brush
Creek Twp. He was then listed in the household of his son, Samuel, in
the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Brush Creek Twp. David appears in no
later census and is estimated to have died ca 1865 in Brush Creek Twp.

His wife (name unknown) was born 1770-1780 in PA. Although she was
listed with David in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 Brush Creek Twp. censuses,
she was not listed in 1850 nor any later censuses. Her death is
estimated to have been ca 1845 in Brush Creek Twp.

David1775 and his wife had the following children as shown in the 1820
and 1830 censuses.

They had 14 children. Ann died ca 1875 possibly in Scott Co., IL or
Brush Creek Twp, Muskingum Co; Samuel died ca 1890 probably in Brush
Creek Twp.
