He was a Tin Can Gunners Mate during WorldWar II and was stationed on the DD 724 Laffey, the DD 782 McKean, the DD880Dyess. He graduated from the Lake Union Gunnery School in Seattle,Wash.Among some of his accomplishments were that he was Leslie Cope's firstart pupil and one of the original founders of the Roseville Little League.Bob was also a member of the American Legion Forest L. Mumford Post 71, theRoseville Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, a past member of the Boardof Public Affairs in Roseville, served as Central Committeeman for DNC and amember of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Roseville.
