I am seeking info on the second wife of my
grandfather, Aaron Friendly MALLETT, who was born
and raised in Noble County, Ohio. Aaron married
Bethia Ellen FORSHEY in 1875. They had eight or
nine children, including at least three who were
born in Ohio. The family moved to WV. Ellie died
in 1898.

In 1903 Aaron married Eliza Jane MORRIS, daughter
of Joseph MORRIS. They had six children. In 1914
Aaron died. MALLETT family members and friends
helped Eliza raise her children. She died in 1934.
Because the children worked and stayed with
others, they missed the stories of family history
that are normally heard in the home. The only bit
of info passed down to them was, their "father was
a fair red-headed man who married an Indian woman."
I would like to hear from anyone in Noble County
who may have information about this family and can
verify that Eliza was, or was not, a Native
American. Can anyone identify Eliza's mother?
Aaron is the son of Albrow, the son of Daniel and
Clarissa (JONES) MALLETT. Any info at all would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
