I feel like I must be related to most people in Noble County since
three of my grandparents were born there and all of their families
had been there for almost a hundred years. My surnames are:

KING, PERKINS, THORNTON, SHIPLEY, GUILER,
SISLER, CLARK, PRINGLE, SMALLWOOD,
HARBIN, MARIS, COATES (COATZ), CAVANAUGH,
FLOYD, ROISE (ROUSE), SUTTON and ORR

For more information see below:

Meshack KING and sons John KING and Thomas KING came to the
Noble County area in 1820 with Meshack's brother Shadrack. John
married Rebecca PERKINS in 1826. Her parents were Reuben PERKINS
and Catherine _______? John's daughter, Hannah Jane King married
Reuben THORNTON in 1866 in Noble County. His Parents were
Elijah THORNTON and Mary Jane CAVANAUGH. She was the dau.of
Timothy CAVANAUGH and Maria ORR. Reuben THORNTON's son,
Francis Marion "Frank" THORNTON married Florence SHIPLEY on
21 March 1895 in East Union in Noble County. Her parents were
John Henry SHIPLEY and Mary Rose GUILER. Mary was the dau. of
Samuel Franklin GUILER and Hanna CLARK. I know nothing about
the CLARK's except her father was probably Henry. John Henry SHIPLEY's
parents were John Calvin SHIPLEY and Hester SISLER. Her parents were
John SISLER Sr. and Elizabeth ROISE (or RUISE). John SHIPLEY's
parents were William SHIPLEY and Mary FLOYD. William's parents were
Samuel SHIPLEY Jr. and Keturah SUTTON. Also, Thomas KING's
son George married Martha E. PRINGLE in Monroe County.. Their son
Gideon married Olive Belle SMALLWOOD on 9 Sept. 1893. Her parents were
John Henry SMALLWOOD and Maria E. HARBIN. His parents were James
SMALLWOOD and Sarah COATES (COATZ). Maria's parents were
Samuel O. HARBIN and Ann THORNTON. Samuel's parents were
John HARBIN and Rachel MARIS. All of these people lived their lives in
Noble County. I would very much like to correspond with anyone who
has information on them or similar links. Also interested in the
77th and 92ed O.V.I and the town of East Union in Noble County.

Thanks for your time,

Robert D. King
