Hello to all on the Noble site. I copied the following from
:
The West half of the South West Quarter of Section Ten (10) in Township, Six
(6), Range Nine (9) in the District of land subject to sale at Zanesville,
Ohio except therefore so much as his South of the County Road heretofore
conveyed by said Michael Kellar and Nancy Kellar his wife now deceased to
Harrison Kellar by deed received in Record of Deeds for Noble county, Ohio
Volume Five (5) Page 555 and 586 containing Eighteen acres more or less,
except also one acre more or less where The Graveyard now is for burial
purposes commencing at a point supposed to be Sixty four Rods South of South
East Corner of said half Quarter Section Thence West Thirteen Rods thence
south thirteen rods hence East thirteen rods to the east line of said half
Quarter Section Hence North with line to the place of beginning to include
the graves now on said premises and the point of ground now fenced as a
burial ground Deeded to Olive Township Noble County Ohio to have and hold.
This is the adjoining quarter section where my G3 Grandfather Samuel Allen
lived and where my G2 Grandfather lived from around 1800 until about 1846 or
1847. Does anyone know if there is still a cemetery there and does anyone
have a list of graves? This may help crack my brick wall. Please advise!!
