Dear group,

With the talk of the book, "The County of Noble" by Frank M. Martin. I looked at the book my mother gave me, originally belonged to my Grandfather. The hard cover is missing so I don't know the exact name of the book but the first page is
"INTRODUCTION TO THE CENTENNIAL EDITION" by Henry Howe. At the bottom of his introduction it has the date January 1, 1889. This is a large book with 902 pages, includes all the counties of Ohio, and about 200 pages of different chapters including "OHIO IN THE CIVIL WAR" by Gen. John Beatty too many to list here. If your interested in the entire list of contents let me know.

I have scanned on the Noble County section which is 10 pages long. I can send them in Jpeg to any one interested. I have not scanned on Morgan County yet as it is 14 pages long, if some one wants it let me know.

I too would love to have a copy of "The County of Noble" I do have a copy of my family's biographical sketch from this book. This also belonged to my Grandfather,
Roy G. Swank, and helped me when I first started searching for my family.

I'm sorry I don't have a home page, (don't know how to do that yet) that I could post this to and then any one could go there and look at it, if any one does and wants me to send this and they could post it at their site let me know that also.

Karen Lutz, searching surnames, Swank, Rex, Pickenpaugh.
