If you are female, age 10 years of age and up, have a Union Civil War veteran you are either directly descended from, are "Blood Kin" i. e. niece, or you are directly descended from a Union CW nurse, then you may be eligible for membership in the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic aka LGAR.
