My Browns were in Pennsylvania and I don't believe they were in Delaware so
that probably excludes this line. >>

Margaret and list,

My Pargeon/Pargin line comes from two brothers, John and James Pargin who
came to Perry Co. in abt. 1806-10, (probably with the VanAtta & Petty
families from NJ). The Pargin birthplace was listed as DE. There is no
trace of them there. This web-site explains the narrow and overlapping
boundaries of these states and why some of us may need to expand our search :

Re Brown: James Pargin b. 1772 DE d. 1830 Perry, Co. m. Margaret ___, had 4
children. Their daughter Sarah m. Lloyd Brown in Perry Co. Both died in
Anderson, IN.

This is from my notes:
ROBERT BROWN b 1779 (MD), living in Perry County OH, 1850 Census, Monroe
Twp, with wife SARAH (?) Robert's son LLOYD BROWN lived a time in Muskingum
County OH, married a Perry County OH girl, SARAH (SALLY) PARGIN.

(My direct line is from the brother John Pargin whose daughter Nancy m.
William Poling, Perry Co.1816. They had 10 children before Wm. was killed in
a mowing accident in 1830. I've only been able to trace 4 of them.)
