HICKORY GROVE
A man driving a two-horse team filed with political documents; passed through
here last week--- Like Salvation, it was free to all, but few cared to read
them.
The remains of Mrs. John Vincent who died in Fayette county, were brought
here last Saturday, and buried at Mt. Latham cemetery.

The news reached here today of the death of Harvey Ziczfoose, who resides in
Fayette county.--His death was caused by being struck by a baseball bat on
the arm during a game of ball played at Buchanan, some time ago.

The rumor is being industriously circulated that Jacob Smith, of Polecat
Hollow, intends taking unto himself a wife, in the person a a widow from
Fayette county

What has become of the Mount Calvary scribe? The Sioux correspondent has
also been lax in his reportorial duties.
