Still fairly new to the list & definitely new to tracing my roots. I guess
the older we get the more we begin to think of our past. I am looking for
any information on my Grandparents, Bartholomew, and Bridget Ryan, whom
lived
in County Cork in 1888-????. They were members of a Roman Catholic Parish
somewhere in Cork and my father, who was the oldest child (Francis Joseph
Ryan, b. March 2, 1888) was born in County Cork. My father departed Ireland
to join the British or English Navy/Army in WW1. Later in his life he
worked
as a fisherman & worked his way to St. Johns, Nfld. prior to coming to the
USA in 1923. Unfortunately no one in our family has ever had contact with
or
had any correspondence with our relatives who may still be located in County
Cork or else where in Ireland.

Anyone having any information on Bartholomew or Bridget Ryan (maiden name &
all dates unknown), or my father's siblings or any relative or ancestor,
