then I lost the mail!!!!! I hope this gets to Julia, one way or another.

Thank you so much for answering my inquiry. We have a lot of info which we
got when we visited a few years ago. You already answered one of my
questions-one of the children I couldn't identify sems to be Wilhelm, born
1857. I had a gap that he fills nicely. Do you know when he died? Our
descent is from Michael's first wife, Frederica Kauffman. I should like
VERY
MUCH to get them back to Germany. Michael came to America in 1837 and was
naturalized. I don't know about his wife. She died in 1843 I don/t have
the marriages except for two of his 14 children. Caroline married George
Brenner and Rosina's son Andreas Johann married Sophis Wolf and 2ndly Anna
Etzel. So, as you see marriage info is scarce for me.

Therfore is you have any access to immigration or naturalization records I
would be very happy to share any info I have concerning Michael's 1rst
marriage if you do not have that. It seems they came fro Wuerttemberg, but
Where. It is like saying they came from Ohio or California. A pretty big
area!
