No, it's a different Caldwell (though they may be related back east). The Noble Co. Caldwells were descended from Robert Caldwell, who was from Chester Co., PA. He came to Ohio in 1795 and settled in what is now Noble Co. in 1808. None of Robert's children were named James, so there is little hint of a connection.
