This is only one of the many answers that I got in answer to my question
about the "Family Discovery" site. All the others say basically the same
thing: DON'T SUBSCRIBE!
<<Yes.
I am very familiar with Family Discovery. PLEASE PLEASE do not subscribe to
this site. They have pilfered much of their materials from GenWeb and then
charged for it. Worse, none of what they took was asked for - rather, they
simply took it and in most cases "hid" it within their own frames so that the
person looking at the data couldn't even find their way back to the Gen Web
site it was taken from.
There was a huge outcry from GenWeb and other free sites about a year ago
with this "outfit" - so much in fact, that Family Discovery abandoned the
server they were on and moved quietly to another - and tried again. There
have been several law suits against them for copyright infringement and
again, If you chose to invest your money with them it is very likely you are
going to lose. Additionally, all the people that do the research and so
freely put it on the web are also being hurt, because they don't get a cut of
the money Family Discovery takes.
If you need more info, feel free to write. Ask ANYONE in Gen Web - and you
will get the same reaction. Please think more than twice before you get
involved with these characters.

Thank you all for your information. I will avoid the site like the Plague.
