Thanks for the information, I am not sure if this is part of the family or not. It is said that the Sweazey came from the NY area but this is one thing we can't prove yet. Joseph father John S. married Jemima Cousins and she was from New Jerser, but as of yet we have been unable to connect the Ind. Sweazey to the NY Sweazey, As for the spelling it could be the same family as I have found my Great Grandfather's name with that spelling, There are quite a few ways that the name is spelled, that is one reason it is so hard to track down, by my information Joseph was born in Ohio, his father John was born abt 1796 in Penn. and his father John born abt 1780 (we don't have a birth place for him)

Daniel, born abt 1804
Joseph, born abt. 1813
Zachary, born abt 1818
Richard C., born mar 31 1823, Chillicoth, Ohio
