I am trying to help my husbands family in locating information on my husbands gr gr gr grandfather, Jacob BOWERS. All that we have found so far is that he was born in Ohio Abt. 1815. Jacob d. Bef. 1887. We are not sure where he died.

We know that he married Susannah (Susan A.) Gallatin, August 31, 1837, Medina, Medina County, Ohio.

There were 7 children from that marriage.
1. Mary b. Abt. 1839, in Ohio
2. John G. BOWERS b. Abt. 1841
3. Samuel E. BOWERS b. October 23, 1844, Wayne Co.,Ohio
4. Rueben BOWERS b. Abt. 1846, Ohio
5. Anne E. BOWERS b. Abt. 1848
6. Louise BOWERS b. Abt. 1850
7. Catherine BOWERS b. Abt. 1852

We know that Mary, Samuel and Rueben were buried in Isabella Co. Michigan. We do not know where either of the childrens parents are buried.

We are trying to find out where the original Bowers family came from. We would like to know who Jacobs parents were. If anyone can help in any way, please let us know.
