If you go to the chapter on Greene County you will find the entire passage regarding the Galloway family.

The passage quoted was from a conversation between Howe and a descendant of Galloway.

I have no connection whatsoever to the Galloway family. I passed along this information because I am very familiar with the Howe book being apart of the transcription project and it was in keeping with this thead.
