John Beecroft, son of John Beecroft and Eliza Ann Mills, was born Brooklyn, USA ( as stated on his marriage registration, family Bible and death records) We assumed, since we are from Canada , that this meant Brooklyn NY. A recent "Rootsweb Review" mentioned that there was a Brooklyn Twp in Ohio. Can anyone tell me exactly where this was (since the name no longer exists that I can find), how far was it from Buffalo NY where a sibling was born, and if there are any birth or death records for this township from about 1842 - 1849. After 1851, John Beecroft, his parents and sister lived in Caradoc Twp, Middlesex Cty, Ontario Canada. We have family records from then till present day.
