Northwestern Ohio, which includes Fulton County, was settled in the early 1800's by Germans; many came from Seneca County, New York. My hometown was Fayette. Some of my ancestors in Fulton County were the Knauer, Ritter and Beilhartz families. Fulton County Historical Society has a site on the Web.
