I found John, Malinda, Charles 16, Wilber 12 and Zela 3 in Edgar Co. IL,
Edgar twp Illinois in the 1880 census

In the 1870 they are in Edgar Co. IL, Broullitts Creek Twp

John 32, Melinda 30, Asenath 10 (born OH) Charles 4 (b. IL) Wilber 2 (b. IL)

There is a John Straw age 13 with family living in Mifflin Twp Wyandot Co.
Ohio in 1850 census.

Another John Straw age 11 with mother mother and family and two Kissinger
people living with them in Miami Co. Staunton Twp Ohio in the 1850 census.

Are you sure on the spelling of Dodalice? I searched for that last name in
Ohio and found no such spelling. You will probably have a hard time finding
it unless you try variations that name could have been read and/or spelled
terribly wrong by the census taker.

I looked in Wayne Co. Ohio. I find no John Straw in probate, marriage or
birth records. Sorry. Only 87 counties to go. Merry Christmas
