Died
Of typhoid fever, at his residence, near Bloomville, on Sunday, the 26th of July, Noah S. Huddle, aged 87 years, 10 months and 4 days.
The deceased was well known in this community, having been one of the first settlers in the forests thirty-five years ago. He was an upright and exemplary citizen; a warm and obliging friend and neighbor, and a kind and affectionate husband and parent.
He had been for some years a member of the regular Baptist Church, and during his last illness gave to his friends repeated assurances that for him death had no terrors and the the vision of Jesus in whom he trusted would light his passage throught the dark valley.
His loss will be deeply felt by the whole community and to his bereaved companion and dependent children it is irreparable.
