Edgar and Lora Davis are my gr.gr. grandparents. Daniel Cradlebaugh was Edgar's stepfather. Does anyone know anything about this Daniel Cradlebaugh?

Indenture Deed Between
Edgar C. Davis and Lora Ann Davis, his wife, of Tippecanoe County, IN
and Daniel Cradlebaugh, of Seneca County, OH
Tippecanoe County Deed Book Book 67, page 193

KNOW all men by these presents that EDGAR C. DAVIS & LORA ANN DAVIS his wife of the county of Tippecanoe in the State of Indiana in consideration of Two thousand three hundred & sixty two dollars & fifty cents $2362.50 to them paid by DANIEL CRADLEBAUGH, of the county of Seneca in the State of Ohio the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey to t he said DANIEL CRADLEBAUGH his heirs and assigns forever the following lands and tenements situate in the county of Tippecanoe in the State of Indiana bounded and described as follows to wit: The west half of the north west quarter of section seven (7) in township twenty three (23) Range four (4) W. in said county excepting & reserving therefrom ten (10) acres of land heretofore conveyed by PETER & JANE CASTER to EDMUND STEELY and eight (8) acres conveyed by JAMES M. CASTER to NANCY KLIPPINGER and also four (4) acres of land owned by WILLIAM A. CASTER & FOWLER W. CASTER & containing besides!
said exceptions fifty eight acres of land except one twentieth (1/20) interest owned by WILLIAM A. CASTER heir of W. H. CASTER, and one twelfth interest owned by FOWLER W. CASTER heir of ISAAC CASTER, and all the Estate title and Interest of the said EDGAR C. DAVIS & LORA ANN DAVIS either in law or equity, of, in and to the said premise. Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging, and all the rents, issues, and profits thereof: To have and to hold the same to the only proper use of the said DANIEL CRADLEBAUGH & his heirs and assigns forever. And the said EDGAR C. DAVIS & LORA ANN DAVIS for themselves and for their heirs, executors and administrators does hereby covenant with the said DANIEL CRADLEBAUGH his heirs and assigns, that they are the true and lawful owners of the said premises and have full power to convey the same: that the title so conveyed is clear, free and unencumbered; and further that they will Warrant and Defend the same agains!
t all claim or claims, of all persons whomsoever, Subject however to two mortgages, on in favor of JAMES A. CASTER & MARY E. CASTER to ANNA G. TEMPLE dated May the 26th 1873 for two hundred dollars; $500.00 with interest thereon at the rate of ten per cent & Attorney fees, and the other one from J.M. & MARY E. CASTER to SOLOMON ROMIG dated May the 18th 1875 for the sum of six hundred dollars $600.00 and interest at ten per cent and attorney fees.

In Witness whereof the said EDGAR C. DAVIS, LORA ANN DAVIS, wife of said EDGAR C. DAVIS, who hereby releases her right, and expectancy of dower in the said premises have hereunto set their hands and seals this Seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven.

Be it remembered that on the seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven before me the subscriber Justice of the Peace personally came EDGAR C. DAVIS and LORA ANN DAVIS his wife, the grantors in the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said LORA ANN DAVIS wife of the said EDGAR C. DAVIS being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said Deed being by me made known and explained to her as the Statute directs declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith as her act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal on the day and year aforesaid.
