Hi--Always interested in the SPRAGUE family. I have a bunch of stuff too but
who knows what you might have. I went to the cemetery you mention and to
Upwey in Dorset to see the church Edward Sprague was Christened in. Great Fun.
Keep your eyes open for David Ross, ok?
See you later. Send what you have. Do you know whether Richard, Ralph and
William came on the Abigail or Lyon's Whelp ship?

Peter,
I have a copy of a reading of all of the gravestones in the Sprague
Cemetery as published in the "Tallow Light, Vol. 23, No. 3" ( A
Washington Co. newsletter) It was written and done by Jerry B Devol and
John Knox Jr. The entries for Zerviah and David read as follows.
ZERVIAH, wife of D. Ross Died Jan. 23, 1852, in the 67 year of her age
"Her Life is past, her work is done
And she is fully blest
She fought the fight, the victory won
And into rest into rest"
(She was born in Adams, Mass. in 1786, daughter of Elijah and Avis or
Anna (Mitshall) Sprague
In Memory of DAVID ROSS who departed this life, Oct. 6, 1826, in the
51st year of his age
"O! Death thou threshold or key of mortals eternity
Trembling ice passed the(e) through
Yet I'll rise and life anew." (part not legible)
(Fancy sandstone with ornate urn and curtains at top. He was an early
settler here and was a cooper and schoolteacher)
Let me know if you have any interest in the Sprague side. My Grandmother
was a Sprague and I have extensive Sprague info. I have nothing more on
the Ross side though.
