Millie,

I have a Mary (or maybe Maria) Jane KINKEAD who according to Early
Marriages of Morgan County 1840-1865 Volume 2 (GEN F497.M76D32X v.2 -
NYC Public Library) married a John Brooks 12/4/1862.

According to the 1880 Census, Maria was living with her mother, and her
brother David, in Renlow Twp., Washington, County, Ohio. Family records
indicated she married Amos PYROR in 1884 at the age of 38.

One possible explination is an early marriage which ended in the death
of John Brooks in the Civil War.
