Cindy,

There are Gillilands in Jackson Co. OH, came from Virginia. Jackson Co.
borders Lawrence Co. Oh.

Hugh Gilliland died 1859 in Hamilton Twp, Jackson Co. OH.
Samuel Gilliland died 1852 in Hamilton Twp, Jackson Co. Oh.
Also shows a will for a John B. Gilliland in Jackson Co. OH.

1875 Township map of Jackson Co. OH shows the following Gillilands living
there:
Hugh Gilliland living in Franklin Twp.
George, S. J., Washington and Jackson Gilliland all living in Hamilton Twp.

I have researched Gillilands from Champaign, Madison and Pickaway Cos. OH,
they are related to the Jackson Co. OH Gillilands (siblings)

Your Margaret Gilliland could be from the Jackson Co. OH group.

Joyce
