aged seventy-two years and six months.
On the twenty=sixth of last June, Mrs. DIBBLE was deprived of her
husband by death: in her enfeebled state of health, the afficition was too
great for her to bear. "I shall soon follow him" she said to her friends.
Her words were prophetic; three months from the day he was laid in the
grave, she was laid by his side, after a long and painful illness.
They were married fifty=four years ago, and settled in Marietta, Ohio
and have lived there ever since, excepting two years spent in visiting their
children in the West. She made a public professionof religion by uniting
with the Congregational Church in Marietta in 1830, sice which she has lived
a consistent Christian life, and a large family of children, grandchildren,
and great grandchildren rise up to call her blessed.
