Are the Van Wyes you mention related to the Van Weys in Whitley County, In,
as I believe the names are inter-changeable? My GGF was Eli Van Wey (or Van
Wye)b1838, d1890. Married Rachel Storts, and had the following children:
Sadie Van Wey Sell 1866-1947
James Van Wey 1868-1944
Steven Van Wey 1870-1944
Columbus (Bud)Van Wey 1874-1923
MinnieVanWey Snider1879-1956
MaryVanWey Bernhardt (unk)
AlmaVan Wey Leininger(unk)
It would seem that Eli's b/d might make him a brother of Daniel and Cameron,
though I have no information on that. I only know that Van Wye got changed
to Van Wey somewhere along the way. Diane in Las Vegas
