RE: PROBATE Delayed Birth Records (27 volumes et al 1862-1920)
published by Wood County Chapter OHS

Could someone look for JOHN ELDER name in the publication?
His probate papers were filed: November 2, 1863 in Wood Co OH.

I'm still looking for his exact date of birth in Pennsylvania.
According to Wood County 1850 and 1860 census,
he was born in 1805 PA. I'm working on D.A.R. papers
for his patriot ancestor, ROBERT ELDER, d. 1807 Franklin Co PA.

Also looking for JOHN ELDER's exact death date in Liberty Township,
Wood County OH, and still hoping for a discovery of his
burial, possibly on his probated land plat in Liberty Township:
10 acres, SE part of Sec 13, Twp 4N, Range 10E.

MORE LAND RECORDS:
Joseph ELDER to Nancy Sutton Vol. 28, p.312
[Joseph is John Elder's son, b. 1836, served in Civil War, OH]

Joseph sold 10 acres of land to Nancy Sutton, located in the
N. 1/2 of the S.E. quarter of Sec 13, Township 4, Range 10.
The land had originally been sold to JOSIAH MILLER in 1845.
Deed was signed 12 Apr. 1866, witnessed by Josiah ELDER and Robert
McMahon, and was recorded 15 Feb. 1867.
"Mrs. Sutton" is marked in a plat for Liberty Township,
in the Wood Co Atlas for 1871.

the meeting and workshop next week!
