Beulah G. Goodwin
Beulah was born November 14, 1911, on a farm 4-1/2 miles southwest of Cherokee to Claude and Sarah Klick Oringderff. She attended Lambert schools and graduated in 1929. She then attended Northwestern Teachers College in Alva and after graduation, she began teaching in Alva.
She and George L. Vandruff were married June 25, 1938 in Cherokee. They owned and operated the Helena Drug Store until moving to Cherokee in 1955. George died June 30, 1971.
Beulah began working at Alfalfa Electric Cooperative and retired as bookkeeper after 21 years.
She was married to Glenn Goodwin for nine years. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Cherokee Christian Church, Mr. & Mrs. Sunday School Class, the CWF Promise Group, Cherokee Business & Professional Womens Club and Cro-Tat-Em Club.
She is survived by one son, Claude Vandruff and his wife, Janet, and their daughter Stephanie, of Cordwell, Kansas; and one great-grandson Jamie S. Vandruff of Cherokee.
