I am a volunter affilated with the Elk CIty Lil. working on an
obit/cemeteries project. I was unalbe to find any thing on any one but
Willie Ann Smith. We do have an obit on her B. 06 Mar 1873 D.06 Mar 1948
Bur. Canute cem. D/O Henryetta (Hipp) There is a lot info in this obit. If
you don't already have this obit let me know.

| time locating Nola's family, the SMITHs. I do know that her mother,

| Ann HUTCHISON Smith, settled in the Elk City/Canute area in the early
1920's
| or so with her two sons Max Madison SMITH and Carl (Clinton?) SMITH after
the
| death of her husband (their father) John W. SMITH.
| Later, possibly in the 50's, Max SMITH married an older woman (long-time
| friend of the family), Myrtle SPANGLER. They had no children yet
remained
| happily married until Myrtle's death in the 60's (or early 70's).

have
| my records in front of me as I type this query. Please forgive me.
