James Henderson Waggoner was born to Mr. and Mrs. George Waggoner June
24, 1852, in Smith county, Tennessee. He moved with his parents to Russelville,
Ky., where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage August 7, 1972
to Miss Marguarete Tooley. They moved to Fort Worth, Tex. and later located
at Pilot Point, Tex. To this union nine children were born, Elias Pinkney,
found missing at the age of 19 years, Thomas Townsend of Claude, Tex.,
Victor Hugo of Myard, New Mex., Mrs. Betty Ann Cheatam of Laveeu, Ariz.,
Mrs. Jennie Myers of Clinton, Okla., Mrs. Gracy Lee Barnett of Pasadena,
Calif., Leaborn Geirge (George) Waggoner, deceased, Lawrence Waggoner,
deceased and Jimmie Waggonner, deceased. His wife died April 8, 1921, and
was buried in Taylor cemetery beside their children.

Mr. Waggoner was married in 1923 to Mrs. Anna B. Redding of Elk City. They
moved to Pampa, Texas, where they lived until Feb. 10, 1934, when he was
struck by an automobile, bruised about the head severely, he was taken
to the Pampa hospital where his brother Ben Waggoner and his daughter,
Mrs. Jennie Myers of Clinton cared for him until he was able to be moved
to the home of his daughter. It seemed for a time that Mr. Waggoner would
be able to overcome the shock from the accident but a stroke of paralysis
caused the end Saturday morning at 3:35. Mr. Waggoner is survived by his
wife, two sons and three daughters and a number of grand children and great
grandchildren. The two sons, three daughters, wife, one brother and one
grand daughter Mrs. Bonnie Hutchinson of Canton, Kansas, arrived Saturday
night and Sunday for the funeral held at the Taylor church, Monday, April
16, at 2:30 p.m. The funeral was preached by Rev. Vaughn Cordell with interment
in the Taylor cemetery. Mr. Waggoner leaves a host of friends and relatives
