Funeral services were held Monday,May 7,in the First Baptist church in
Carter for James Judson JONES,Carter resident who died May 5 at the age
of 70.

The Rev.Fountie RIDLEY,pastor of the Carter Assembly of God church officiated
with the Rev.W.L.FENCH,Methodist pastor,assisting.Burial was in the Carter
cemetery.

Mr.Jones was born March 9,1881 at Lake Huron,Canada.He married Mollie CUMMINGS
July 19,1903.Eight children were born of whom two preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife,Carter,and six children;Charlie JONES,Willow;Mrs.Nettie
ROLES,Carter;Chris,Porterville,Cal.,Lelon,Sayre;Sam,Kansas City,Md.and
Harold of the home address.

Also surviving are his mother,Mrs.Clara JONES,Sayre,two sisters,Mrs.Sarah
GOODNER,Sayre,and Mrs.Ruby ROLES,Carter;two brothers,Harry JONES,Niles,Cal.,and
David,Oklahoma City,and nine grandchildren.
