Funeral services held Friday at Carter for John Anthony JOHNSTON,Arapaho
garage mechanic who was fatally burned last Wednesday in a gasoline explosion
at Arapaho.

He died Thursday night in a Clinton hospital.

Mr.JOHNSTON formerly was in the garage business at Berlin,leaving there
five years ago to open a garage at Thomas.He later lived at Carter,leaving
there three months ago to move to Arapaho.

He is survived by his father John Johnston of Carter;three brothers,Marshall
JOHNSTON of Delhi,Virgil JOHNSTON of Berlin and Thomas JOHNSTON of Shamrock,Tex.,and
four sisters,Mrs.Sallie UPTERGROVE of Carter,Mrs.Emma TEDFORD of Newkirk,Mrs.
Rosie BRUMLEE of Canute,and Mrs.Eva MYERS of Carter.

He was born 25 years ago,August 05,1911,at Carter.
