Will a kind soul volunteer do a look up for me on the micro-film newspaper on the death of my great grandfather? His name is John Henry Carter, born in Ilinois, August 26, between 1867 to 1870. He died September 22, 1939 according to his tombstone information and it show that his birthday is August 26, 1867 on the tombstone too. I desperately need his obiturary. He is buried in Kenefic, Okla., right on Bryan/Johnson county line in Center Hill Cemetery. I have my daughter called the Calera, Okla. in the Bryan County Historical Library (I am deaf) and the lady said they only have the films back to late 1938. She suggested that I need to check out the Durant Democrat Newspaper. Not having much luck on the funeral homes either. I did received a replies from Dalton Holmes and Coffey Funeral Home and they did not did the burial of my Carter's Family.
It make it rough for me to know where to begin because John Henry Carter live in Kenefic, Okla. right between Bryan/Johnson/Atoka County. I have ordered his death certificate in Oklahoma and they couldn't find it. I am wonder if it possible if he died in Texas. That is the reason I need his obituary so it might tell me where he died, who did his burial service. Will you help me? God bless you. Have a Happy New Year. Teresa
