Sudden death takes Clyde Jamieson, 74
Funeral services for Clyde E. Jamieson who died suddenly at his home in
Carnegie Sunday morning, August 17, are being
held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20 at the First United Methodist Church
in Carnegie with Rev. Charles Hanna
officiating.
Burial is in Carnegie Cemetery, under the direction of Pitcher Funeral
Home.
Clyde Jamieson was born to Andrew c. and Sarah H. Cunningham Jamieson on
a farm south of Carnegie on October 6,1905. He was a champion debater on
Carnegie High School's debating team during his school years here. He graduated
from Carnegie school in 1924.
He began working at the bank in Carnegie and became Cashier, serving in
that capacity until he moved to Oklahoma City in 1955.
He also served as City Clerk in Carnegie prior to 1955.
He was married to Gracie Lea Horn of Mtn. View in November, 1926, in Hobart.
Mr. Jamieson was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Carnegie and a member
of the Methodist Church. He retired as Vice-President of the Capitol Hill
State Bank in 1960 and moved with his family back to Carnegie.
Survivors include his wife, Gracie Lea of the home in Carnegie; one daughter,
Mrs. Barbara Jean Amdall of Midlothian, Virginia; one brother, Paul, Marysville,
Kansas; five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
