Ward Service Held Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ward, 97, long-time area resident, were held Friday, December 28, at the local Church of Christ, Sam Evans of Chickasha officiated. Interment was in the Alfalfa Cemetery.
Born in 1876 at Fort Townson, Mrs. Ward settled on a farm northwest of Alfalfa in 1907. She and her husband moved into Carnegie in 1946.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1953.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Ridgeway and Mrs. Merle Hensley of Carnegie, Mrs. Winnie Galvin of Holiday, Missouri, Mrs. Ida Vinson, Tecumseh; and Mrs. Jewell Washburn of Stockton, Calif.
