Most of the tombstones and markers in the cemetery used by
Choctaws and others in the 1800's near the Mayhew Choctaw
tribal grounds have been destroyed. We would like to erect a
memorial marker for those verified as being buried there so
they will not be completely forgotten. I would like to hear from
anyone with any knowledge or information of a burial there
so the name may be placed on the marker. Thank you.
