3 John Downs b. Sep 23, 1911 (No place yet, may be TX,
this is what I found in the SSDI for him) d. Sep 1978 Sapulpa, OK
3 Jimmy Downs
3 Willie Downs (male)
3 Maude Mae Downs
3 Laurence Alexander Downs b. Apr 09, 1919 Pearsonia,
Osage Co., OK

All my G-pa, L.A. Downs, remembers is that his father, Wood, was raised
by his grandparents. The story goes Unknown DOWNS m. a cousin (maybe a
Downs, maybe not) they had at least two children (all that I know of
right now) Elwood and Jim. I don't know if Elwood's mother died or what.
I can't come up with any other reason for her and her husband not
raising their children, or at least one of them.
Family tradition says that Elwood was married before Hattie and had
another family. ?
