I recently obtained an obituary for Alice Roberts from Thomas, Custer, OK. The obit says that Alice "was a member of the River Brethren church and had been in the mission work for twelve years." She was also a foster mother which might have been related to the church. The obit also says "Funeral services were held at Bethany church...by Rev. D. L. Doub."

I would like to find more information about the River Brethren church. Is it the same as the Bethany church? What type of mission work was she involved in? Please reply if you know anything about this church or have any ideas to help me find out more. Thank you!
