In going through some of our family heirlooms, I found a medal, badge or
something like that that belonged to my Grandfather. He lived in Ellis Co.
arround Shattuck from 1900-01 to at least 1909 and possibly later. The badge
is 6 inches long with Modern Woodmen of America, Shattuck Camp, No. 11853
M.W. of A. Shattuck, OKla. That is what is on the front and the back is black
with silver stating the same thing except it also reads "In Memoriam".
Could anyone give me some information about this organization or what the
badge would represent?
