Guess I know the answer about as well as anyone.
We ALL have a lot of problems with broken links - it's just part of being on
the internet. As one becomes more familiar with the internet you will learn
to remove parts of a URL - working your way to the main page of a site. Links
to -other sites- can become broken w/o our knowledge. Webmaster's revamp and
move pages constantly.
Since everyone is a 'volunteer' with the OKGenWeb group - I'm sure they fix
broken links the same way I do. As soon as reasonably possible, depending on
family, job and real life situations. Answering email is about the same - I
get 300-500 emails everyday. Most, thank goodness, only needs to be read, but
some do need to be answered and that takes time which I don't always have at
that moment. I need a cyber-sex-a-teri. <g>
I know you had problems with this link
Kay County Obituaries - http://www.rootsweb.com/~okbits.htm/#kayco
if you will just start at the right and remove the /#kayco you will be taken
to the main page of OKBits - works that way on most URL's. Those that have
been on okgen-l for a while know that Sharon is totally revamping OKBits.
Our OKGenWeb group is one of the most helpful groups I've come in contact
with. I'm sure we don't always please everyone, but they work very hard
attempting to do so. They are a great group and I am very proud of all
they've accomplished in such a short time.
