I've seen a lot of "Introduction"s in the subject line as I get ready to
do a flash session and read a few so I will introduce myself.
My name is Sandra Rozelle BAER Pavletich. I am 49 and live with my DH
and 2 DD's near St. Louis, MO. The line of my Dad's - Baer and Cummin(g)s -
is done way back to to a rather endearing (to me) rascal who stole from the
rich and helped out the poor. He began life as a very poor person and wound
up as a nobleman of some sort. He is credited with using something called a
"mousetrap" (?) manuver which has been used in football. He also had the
first documented (so the article says) iron hand. There is even still a
castle over in Germany. However, I think that 400 or so years has diluted the
blood enough that I don't have a chance at getting it.
I am hunting for my Mom's family. She was born Dorothy Ruth ROBERTSON
in McIntosh Co, OK in 1924 to William Emmett ROBERTSON and Ruth Rozelle
HOWELL. He was born 8/15/1893 in Stigler, IT. She was born in Georgia.
I was born in Tulsa but as my Dad was in the Navy, I didn't stay there
long. We visited Checotah a lot when I was gowing up as that is where my
grandparents lived.
I'm working on getting info on these folks. The more I read on this
list, the more I realize that they had to be pretty incrediable to be born
there and live there and have their own families. The stories and bits and
pieces I am picking up added to what my Mom has told me shows me the reality
of living then as opposed to the tv version of Oklahoma.

Sandy P - near cool St. Louieeee weather's turning - gotta break out those
