This is a true story: One lazy summer afternoon, my uncle Lloyd Day was
enjoying a visit with his little granddaughter, Becky. They were sitting in
the shade on the front porch of his daughter's home in Enid, OK. Roly Polys
were plentiful on this porch and uncle Lloyd decided to flip them off of the
porch into the sand below the porch; whereupon Becky became incensed and
declared, "Grandpa, STOP that!" Startled by her passionate outcry he asked,
"Why, Becky?" Her eyebrows shot up and with her hands on her hips
authoritatively she announced, "Because...you're getting them all dirty -- and
Patrick [her brother who was a toddler] EATS 'EM!!"

Becky and Patrick are all grown up now, but they are still teased about this.
