Hi, everyone! To those of you that have been along for the ride for
quite some time, I apologize for the repetition of my request. However,
it seems like there are alot of new folks out there - so here is my
request again. I am looking for info on my grandfather, James Steele. I
have very little info to go on. I do know that he was married to
Virginia Shelley with daughters Mary and Cloyse. He was supposed to
have been a law enforcement officer in Quapaw, Ok and killed in a bank
robbery around 1929. He is buried in Vinita, Ok. Anybody out there that
can help - I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Mary >>

This came from the Steele List, but since it concerns Okies and especially law
enforcement people killed in the line of duty, I thought some of us here might
be able to help her out.
