in the village of Tidmore about three miles sw of the the present city of
Seminole in 1891/93 the Seminole Nation established the Mekasukey Academy for
Boys. The word originally meant "where the chiefs meet". Later it developed
the meaning "place where Christianity is taught". This is from a book titled
"A History of the Greater Seminole Oil Field". This might be what you're
